With their exceptional taste and expert analytical and strategic skills, they work closely with cross-functional teams to delight our customers with the products they want—and the ones they don't yet know they want but must have.We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Merchandising to drive the product assortment strategy and execution for our growth categories across our retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels. This role will be responsible for building compelling product assortments, optimizing product performance and profitability, and ensuring alignment with brand and financial objectives. The Director will work closely with Design, Product Development, Production, Inventory Planning and Marketing teams to deliver a best-in-class product offering and a go-to-market plan that resonates with our customers.This role will report to our VP, Merchandising and will work out of our San Francisco office.What you'll do:Assortment Strategy: Develop and execute merchandising strategies that align with the brand vision, customer insights, and business objectivesGrowth Strategies for Growth Categories: Identify and drive needle-moving growth strategies and initiatives for Sneakers, Mens Footwear, Kids Footwear and Accessories, as well as identify meaningful new growth categories for future developmentCategory Management: Own growth product categories, ensuring that product strategies and execution delivers on financial objectives for topline and bottom-line profitabilityCross-Functional Collaboration: Central to driving go to market process in partnership and alignment with Design, Product Development, Planning, Production, Marketing and Channel Leaders to ensure product assortment meets sales, margin, pricing, and delivery targetsMarket & Consumer Insights: Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform product strategies, make decisions and identify new opportunitiesInventory & Pricing Strategy: Work closely with Planning and Allocation teams to optimize inventory levels, markdown strategies, and pricing architecture. Collaborate with Inventory Teams on robust Open to Buy monthly meetingsProduct Performance Analysis: Monitor in-season product performance, recommending adjustments to maximize sales and margin, using both in-season and future-season actionsChannel Optimization: Develop and execute merchandising strategies tailored to the unique needs of each channel, ensuring the right product mix for stores, online, and wholesale partnersLeadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of merchandising professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-makingYou have:8+ years of merchandising experience in the footwear, accessories, or fashion industryExperience in men's, sneakers, kids and accessories is a plusProven ability and track record in developing and executing merchandising strategies that drive growth and profitabilityStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insightsExperience working effectively cross-functionally with Design, Planning, and Production teamsStrong leadership and team development skillsExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesPassion for product and deep curiosity to understand customer trends and behaviorsAn entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentA proactive approach with a high level of ownership and responsibility for your workOur benefits:Generous paid time off401k matchingComprehensive health plans for you and your familySupplemental mental health benefitsMonthly wellness reimbursementEmployee Discount Program!Pay range:$187,000 - $220,000 annuallyBase pay is one part of the total rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
