We have built a lean, all-star team to help us bring our vision to life, and we want you to be a part of it.Probably Genetic has raised multiple rounds of funding from Silicon Valley’s best investors, including Threshold, Khosla, and Y Combinator, and offer competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, and meaningful early stage equity.About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will contribute to the design and implementation of our AI-enabled patient experience, genetic sequencing workflows, and help enable the critical infrastructure needed to support a world-class patient intelligence platform.What you will doWork across teams to rapidly transform key requirements into front-end releases that meaningfully improve how patients engage with our productCreate APIs, laboratory integrations, bioinformatic tooling, and ML infrastructure using Python, Django, PostgreSQL databases, and AWS servicesDevelop the phenotyping product and biotech data platform frontends in React & TypescriptRegularly review your team’s pull requests and technical proposal documents to maintain high standards and architectural qualityPresent your work to relevant stakeholders, monitoring outcomes, and integrating patient feedbackContribute to a culture of continuous improvement at a high velocity by optimizing development processesOwn business goals and writing technical design specifications to find more patients, grow revenue, and increase marginsCollaborate with the Growth, Patient Experience and Business Development teams to implement solutions which drive customer valueWork with cross-functional stakeholders to refine business processes and develop software to automate those processesWho you areWe are looking for a few specific things that will help you succeed in this role:Proven experience developing full-stack applications, with a front-end focus and a passion for crafting visually refined, pixel-perfect user experiencesExperience in a range of software languages and frameworks included in our tech stack:Languages: Python (Django) and Typescript (React)Tools/Infrastructure: PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform, GitHub ActionsExperience designing and building scalable systems used by external usersTrack-record of solving extremely difficult, ambiguous problemsExcellent communication skills with ability to can convey your ideals clearly to engineers and non-engineers alike!Some things that are not required, but you will learn on the job:Expertise with healthcare data, bioinformatics, genetics, ML infrastructure, or growth marketingExpertise in HIPAA compliance and security best practicesExpertise in product development practices such as user interviews and product analyticsAs with all new hires at Probably Genetic, you will also need to be:A good person.
