Our fast-growing team is united by a shared mission to reindustrialize American manufacturing for the 21st century and beyond!The RoleAs the Director of New Product Introduction (NPI), you will be responsible for the first tollgate in the production cycle (CAM and CMM programming + the associated iteration cycles). Hadrian’s manufacturing strategy hinges on standardization and reliability. We design processes so that entry-level technicians can execute them with limited training, minimizing the need for seasoned operators to compensate for programming or process errors.What You’ll Do1. Defining Manufacturing Strategy:Interpreting bespoke customer requirements and translating them into a clear manufacturing approach leveraging Hadrian’s unique system – standardize response to customer inputs and streamline operational workflow/output.Using production feedback/data to refine approaches and standardize factory inputs. Owning and reeducating customer facing DFM toolkit, operational processes, and software automation/firewalls.Defining product groups and the associated configuration structures to provide highly predictable manufacturing workflowsAligning workflows for CMM and CNC programming2. System Maturity + Capability DevelopmentMapping capability and configuration maturity; partnering with automation to make existing capabilities “boringly predictable.” Unlocking resources to buildout future capabilities and lowering technical floor for CNC/CMM programming execution. Ensuring “copy/paste” standards at scale.Creating structure for and driving technical readiness assessments (including associated automation roadmap) for new capabilities.3. Business Plan for Transactional ProgrammingDefine, build, edit, and scale operational system and organization structure for remote/transactional programming – Inclusive of contractor structure4. Execution + Team DevelopmentAccountable for operational KPI success and improvementPositioning the organization to support multi-site operation including role breakdown and associated skills/development matricesDeveloping team of leaders supporting internal and external operationsWorking with workforce development team on fundamental changes to workflow/process that require retraining the workforceWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor's degree in engineering or a related STEM field.5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, precision machining, or equivalent high-complexity, regulated production environments3+ years of proven leadership in a multi-disciplinary and technical manufacturing organization; preferably experience leading leadersDemonstrated ability to translate customer specs and engineering drawings into standardized, repeatable manufacturing processes and workflows.Proven aptitude for rapid, pragmatic problem-solving in manufacturing environments.Ability to balance standardization with technical depth, especially when creating copy/paste models for technical workflowsSuccess driving manufacturing capability or system roadmaps, including automation and maturity modeling.Benefits100% coverage of platinum medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees401kRelocation stipend if you’re moving from outside of LAFlexible vacation policyITAR RequirementsTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
