Working closely with Jamie Ritchie (MD International and Auctions), you will be responsible for managing the team, focusing on customer acquisition and delivering sales through relationship building and a level of service that is more akin to the hospitality business but also aligned to the Home of Collecting strategy. You will assume responsibility for delivering the company’s growth ambitions while ensuring that Berry Bros. & Rudd standards are maintained to the highest level to optimise customer engagement and service excellence.Who you will work withInternal: The local Washington based team and supporting functions based in the UKExternal: Private and Shop Customers, Producers, Wholesalers, Distributors, media and local service providersWhat you will doWork closely with the MD International & Auctions to develop and deliver the USA business plan in line with the agreed targetsDevelop and deliver agreed annual plans and appropriate customer, sales and service performance measures (revenue, margin, customer acquisition and NPS)Establish the Year 1 team for the US operation; set clear goals and targets for both direct and indirect reports, aligned to the overall business plan. Recruit and onboard new team members as appropriateProvide leadership and direction to the local teams, ensuring that hospitality and relationships are the foundation of providing excellent customer service to all customersSupport the performance, growth and development of individual team membersDevelop Berry Bros. & Rudd’s thought leadership to be recognised as a market leader and trusted destinationStay abreast of the competitive environment in market and provide comprehensive and accurate information on the fine wine and spirits’ marketDevelop strong relationships with the Sales & Service team and functional teams based in the UK to ensure operational efficiency and consistently high levels of customer serviceEnsure that all working practices comply with US and UK anti-bribery, GDPR and Health & Safety legislation.
