You will oversee all aspects of Later's social presence, from high-level strategy to team development, ensuring our social channels effectively showcase our brand, products, and thought leadership to enterprise B2C brands and agencies. This role requires a strategic thinker with proven experience in building high-performing social media teams and demonstrating measurable business impact.What you'll be doing:Strategic Leadership & VisionDevelop and execute a comprehensive, multi-platform social media strategy aligned with Later's business objectives and target audiencesDefine KPIs, OKRs, and ROI frameworks that tie social media efforts to business outcomes and revenue growthSpearhead innovative social media initiatives that position Later as the leader in social media management and influencer marketingIdentify emerging platforms, technologies, and trends to keep Later at the forefront of social media innovationDevelop and own the long-term roadmap for social media growth and impactLead, mentor, and grow a high-performing social media team, including hiring, training, and performance managementFoster a culture of creativity, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvementConduct regular performance reviews and create growth opportunities for team membersEstablish clear roles, responsibilities, and workflows to maximize team efficiency and output qualityIdentify skill gaps and provide professional development opportunities for team growthCross-Functional LeadershipServe as the social media authority across the organization, advising leadership on platform changes, industry shifts, and strategic opportunitiesCollaborate with Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Demand Generation, and Creative teams to develop integrated campaigns that achieve business goalsPartner with Sales and Customer Success teams to leverage social content in the buyer journeyWork with Product teams to showcase Later's features and gather customer feedbackPresent social performance, insights, and recommendations to C-level executives and board membersBudget & Resource ManagementDevelop and manage annual social media budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resourcesEvaluate and select tools, technologies, and platforms to support social media operationsManage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and influencer partnersImplement processes to maximize team productivity and content qualityAnalytics, Reporting & OptimizationEstablish comprehensive analytics frameworks to measure social media performance against business goalsDevelop executive-level reporting that demonstrates the impact of social media on pipeline and revenueLead data-driven optimization efforts to continuously improve content performance and ROIAnalyze competitor strategies and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities and threatsBrand Guardianship & InnovationEnsure Later's brand voice, visual identity, and messaging are consistently represented across all social platformsLead the evolution of Later's social presence as platforms and audience preferences changeIdentify opportunities to showcase Later's thought leadership in the creator economyDevelop innovative content formats and campaigns that differentiate Later from competitorsWe are committed to building an inclusive, supportive place for you to do the best and most rewarding work of your career. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted.Additionally, all permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.Salary Range:$165,000 - 180,000 base + bonus#LI-HybridWhere we workWe have offices in Boston, MA; Vancouver, BC; Chicago, IL; and Vancouver, WA.
