How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)As the General Manager Cargo Operations East you will provide leadership, oversight and strategic direction for managing the day-to-day hub operations. Additionally, you will facilitate the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and wellbeingEnsure that hub goals are met or exceeded. Facilitates the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplaceProvide leadership to direct reports supporting teams and the operationDevelop strategic plans which includes strategy development, plan development and executionMake actionable recommendations based on the data, and prioritizes improvements based on their ability to drive ROI, monitor fixes and follow through on post implementation resultsDevelop and execute of both the operating and capital plans for the given area of responsibility and further responsible for achieving those financial objectivesLead through demonstration of Delta’s core values as outlined in the Rules of the RoadCommunicate a compelling view of the organization’s purpose and value in a way that helps others understand the importance and impact of their contributions; advocates for othersWork with team members to develop specific behaviors, skills or knowledge needed to ensure sustained performance and to prepare for success in new responsibilitiesMust be able to build effective business partnerships with Deltas outside contractors/business partnersMaintain and establish cross-divisional partnerships with Maintenance, ACS, Flight Operations, Human Resources, Delta Technology, GSE, Properties and Facilities, Finance, Contractors and Process Engineering teams in a strategic manner to achieve key performance targetsEnsure a smooth, safe and secure operation while modeling Deltas vision and valuesResponsible for all environmental and EPA standards, regulations and compliance requirementsDevelop annual strategy plans for revenue targets, OJI improvements, productivity measurements, team building and succession planningProvide strategic leadership and promotes team building through motivational and directional coachingCultivate an environment of positive employee relations; has oversight of non-Delta personnel operations such as contractors/business partners; maintain and partner with contractual agencies, and securityMust be able to represent Delta in the community (government, non-profit agencies, fund raising initiatives)Resolve issues for customers regarding service failures or other complaintsMake sound decisions with positive results.Demonstrate high level of customer focus, finding win-win solutions for the customer and DeltaBenefits and Perks to Help You Keep ClimbingOur culture is rooted in a shared dedication to living our values – Care, Integrity, Resilience, Servant Leadership, and Teamwork – every day, in everything we do.
