Direct message the job poster from Deutsche BankJob Title Leveraged Finance RiskCorporate Title Vice PresidentLocation New York, NYOverviewThe Risk Specialist works closely with the Investment Banking and Infrastructure business units to effectively monitor and manage credit risk for the leveraged lending loan portfolio. As a Vice President you play an integral role in contributing to the success of Deutsche Bank’s leveraged lending franchise and developing junior talent. You will partner with coverage banking and other risk teams to analyze leveraged transactions and manage a portfolio of leveraged counterparties. You will also play a critical role in ensuring adherence to all credit policies, associated governance, internal data quality, and regulatory reporting as well as participate in regulatory audits. As a professional with experience, you will see a wide variety of lending products across various industries to provide solutions to Deutsche Bank clients.What We Offer YouA diverse and inclusive environment that embraces change, innovation, and collaborationA hybrid working model, allowing for in-office / work from home flexibility, generous vacation, personal and volunteer daysEmployee Resource Groups support an inclusive workplace for everyone and promote community engagementCompetitive compensation packages including health and wellbeing benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, and family building benefitsEducational resources, matching gift, and volunteer programsWhat You’ll DoSupport the review and credit approval of leveraged finance transactions including LBOs, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) financings, hold commitments and other requests, ensuring that exposures are consistent with the Bank’s risk appetitePerform due diligence, lead financial modeling, valuation, and legal term reviews, and prepare detailed credit recommendations for approval with relevant approvers and, where appropriate, present at credit committeesEnsure that credit approval documentation is consistent with the Bank’s policies and applicable regulationsManage the hold book in conjunction with the Industry Head, credit monitoring team and front officeAssist in interactions with auditors and regulators and support related reporting requirementsHow You’ll LeadBuild relationships with the front office colleagues, challenging assumptions while providing constructive feedbackCommunicate credit views to senior management and help mentor and manage junior staffLead responses and discussions related to audit and regulatory inquiriesSkills You’ll NeedA Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from an accredited college or university and moderate experienceStrong credit risk analysis skills (leveraged finance experience is a plus) as well as knowledge of financial modeling/forecasting and valuation methodologiesKnowledge of investment and commercial banking products such as RCF, Term Loans, Bridge Financings, Derivatives (swaps, Foreign Exchange (FX), etc.), cash management, and trade finance productsAdvanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power PointSkills That Will Help You ExcelAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities under time pressureUnderstanding of leveraged finance markets, loan documentation and regulatory standardsStrong communication skills and the ability to explain potentially complex and nuanced transaction structures to relevant stakeholdersIt is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodations to candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion.The salary range for this position in New York, NY is $125,000 to $203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
