The Treasurer is also a key participant in strategic and company-wide planning activities. Communicates regularly with committees on financial and general business matters.• Supervises staff responsible for the successful completion of all Finance activities including: annual audit of books and records, compliance with financial policies and procedures, issuance of financial statements and reports, oversight of the statistical tables process and funding plans for pension and healthcare liabilities.• Supervises staff responsible for staff benefits activities including data administration (appointments, compensation changes, retirements, etc), health care for active and retired employees, long-term disability, retirement plans for active and retired employees, wellness programs, evaluation and implementation of new health and pension plans, financial hardship grants and retirement seminars• Oversees banking and institutional fund management relationships, the annual Budget Hearings process, the office budget and restricted fund reporting.• Provides detailed annual statistical analysis to leadership to support decision making.• Provides financial reporting at meetings of the Cabinet, Council on Finance and Administration, Board of Pensions & Health Benefits and Board of Trustees.• Issues periodic communications to leadership on various finance topics (Housing Allowances, Property Insurance, Audits, Budgets, etc.)• Performs and administers the following Administrative Services functions: contracts between outside parties and the company, property & casualty, umbrella, auto and D&O insurance for company-owned properties and assets, workers compensation insurance, healthcare non-payment termination process.• Supervises staff responsible for the successful completion of all Human Resources and benefits activities including: staff performance reviews, annual healthcare enrollment, staff hiring and termination, orientation of new staff, personnel manual updates, grievance administration and maintenance of personnel files.• Supervises staff responsible for the successful completion of all Information Technology activities including: IT support services contract and relationship, data processing functions, LAN and server administration, phone system administration, security system administration, and hardware and software replacement.• Supervises staff responsible for the successful completion of all Property Management activities including: managing the physical facilities of the center by establishing and maintaining contractual or on-call relationships with vendors and coordinating building and equipment inspections.
