This sector includes highways, toll roads, bridges, and related services such as design, traffic engineering, and planning.The primary responsibilities are divided into three areas:Market leadership and business development (~70%)Staff development (20%)Support to Operations (10%)The Director sets the vision for growth, supports strategic initiatives, and maintains communication with leadership to implement plans. They also engage with clients, oversee business development, and represent HDR in industry organizations. Staff development involves managing P&L, recruiting, and supporting technical excellence. Support to operations includes monitoring performance, ensuring quality, and facilitating project delivery.QualificationsPreferred:Minimum 20 years in highway or bridge planning/engineeringProfessional engineering license or equivalentLeadership roles in industry associations like AASHTO or IBTTARequired:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fieldAt least 12 years of industry experience with leadershipExcellent communication and client management skillsStrong business acumen and strategic thinkingAdditional InformationHDR is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, offering comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.
