Overview Rockpoint Legal is growing, and we’re hiring two dynamic Sales Directors to join our high-energy team. We’re seeking two experienced, relationship-driven sales professionals: one to support our Inside Sales effort and one to contribute to Field Sales. Both roles will play a critical part in expanding Rockpoint’s presence in the personal injury legal space by connecting law firms. Position Details Job Title: Sales Director (Individual Contributor) Classification: W2; Full Time Exempt The Company Rockpoint Legal Funding, founded in 2015, is a leading West Coast provider of pre- and post-settlement funding to plaintiffs and non-recourse cost advances to plaintiffs' attorneys. Committed to easing plaintiffs’ financial stress during litigation, Rockpoint is well-capitalized and has achieved consistent quarter-over-quarter growth since its inception. It is the only funding company endorsed by the Consumer Association of California (CAOC), the statewide consumer attorney association. Position Summary We are seeking two roles: Inside Sales Director (Remote) and Field Sales Director (in-person). Location & Travel Inside Sales Director: residence in Los Angeles or El Segundo, CA. Field Sales Director: residence in Los Angeles or El Segundo, CA; field-based, boots-on-the-ground. You will own your territory and represent Rockpoint at meetings, networking events, and office visits, with a strong focus on relationship-building and growth. Responsibilities Identify, build, and develop new business opportunities outside of the existing portfolio, with strategic targets in key market segments. Maintain accurate records and manage sales pipeline, including contacts, opportunities, lead lists, activities, and account updates and notes in a proprietary database. Conduct several weekly meetings with clients to uncover and understand their developing needs. Deliver results from these meetings. Collaborate and problem-solve with sales support departments to maximize the sales team's potential. Able and willing to travel and/or work nights and weekends, as required, for participation in networking conferences, dinners, and activities related to relationship development. Monitor and share observations related to competitor activities and market trends, and keep current with industry developments. Assist senior management in the development and updating of the regional business plan. Thorough understanding of sales methodologies for new business acquisition, existing account growth, and churn mitigation. Ad hoc projects as needed. Qualifications High-energy, enthusiastic attitude. Driven and self-motivated. Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written skills. Engaging and highly effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills that cultivate long-lasting business relationships with influential decision-makers, including attorneys, case managers, and paralegals. Professionally persistent and assertive. Comfortably and enthusiastically networks with customers in the field at professional events and conferences. Exhibit strong business acumen, maturity, and the ability to work effectively with others. Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required. Experience in a field related to personal injury is preferred. Minimum five years of experience in sales, business development, and/or legal. Experience with Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite, and willingness to learn/use mobile and web-based sales and project management applications.
