You will understand and solve our customer’s business issues with the Elastic Stack, engage the Elastic community through events and programs, and enable sales through our Partners. A successful SA at Elastic will be passionate about excellence, taking the initiative to improve both themselves and the team through continuous learning and questioning the status quo.What You Will Be DoingLeading strategic technical engagements with enterprise Financial Services and Insurance organizations, serving as the primary technical advisor for complex, multi-million dollar opportunitiesDeveloping deep expertise in FinServ/Insurance use cases including regulatory compliance (SOX, PCI-DSS, GDPR), risk management, fraud detection, algorithmic trading monitoring, and customer analyticsArchitecting observability, security, and search solutions that address industry-specific challenges like real-time transaction monitoring, regulatory reporting, and data governance requirementsBuilding executive-level relationships with CTOs, CISOs, and Chief Data Officers to align Elastic/'s platform with strategic business initiativesCollaborating with compliance, risk, and audit teams to demonstrate how Elastic meets stringent regulatory and security requirementsLeading proof-of-concept initiatives for mission-critical workloads including trading systems, core banking platforms, and insurance claims processingRepresenting Elastic at industry conferences, regulatory forums, and executive roundtables specific to Financial ServicesPartnering with product management to influence roadmap priorities based on FinServ/Insurance market needsMentoring junior SAs and sharing industry expertise across the broader solutions architecture organizationWhat You Will Bring7+ years of technical presales experience with at least 3 years focused specifically on Financial Services or Insurance industriesDeep understanding of FinServ technology landscapes including core banking systems, trading platforms, risk management tools, and regulatory technologiesProven track record closing strategic deals ($1M+) with Tier 1 financial institutions or major insurance carriersTechnical expertise in observability, SIEM/security analytics, or search platforms within highly regulated environmentsExperience navigating complex procurement processes, security reviews, and compliance frameworks common in financial servicesDemonstrated ability to present to C-level executives and articulate business value in terms of risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiencyIndustry certifications or background in areas like cybersecurity, data governance, or financial technology preferredStrong executive presence with ability to build trust with senior stakeholders who manage billions in assets or critical infrastructureWillingness to travel 40-50% to engage with strategic accounts across your assigned regionCompensation and BenefitsCompensation for this role is in the form of base salary plus a variable component, that together comprise the On-Target Earnings (OTE). On-Target Earnings (OTE) are based on a 70/30 pay mix (base salary / target variable).The typical starting OTE range for new hires in this role is listed below. This range represents the lowest to highest OTE we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.An employee/'s position within the OTE range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic/'s stock program.
