OverviewASRC Federal is seeking an experienced Business Development Director - NASA / NOAA, principally supporting NASA/NOAA customers within the Space Operating Group market.This position will report to the Vice President of Business Development. The ideal candidate will have proven track record working all phases of business development and capture across a broad spectrum of customers and capabilities and have a proven record of successful shaping of technical opportunities within the NASA and NOAA market, along with implement and executing unique approaches to identifying new opportunities that lead directly to business growth.The position can be remote, but candidates must be willing to travel frequently to client sites and the Reston, VA HQ Office.OverviewOur Business Development Director will work as an integral part of the Space Operating Group NASA and NOAA portfolio. Candidates will collaborate closely with the Space Operating Group Business Development Vice President, along with the Operating Group and Division leadership to create and execute overall strategy to maximize revenue and profit for the company.Key ResponsibilitiesSuccessfully lead and own applicable steps in the business development lifecycleGet out in front of emerging opportunities to incrementally improve win probabilityPosition the organization to craft a compelling technical and pricing solution while identifying and managing riskHave a proven record of executing unique approaches to opportunity identification and business growthDevelop detailed and thorough briefing materials and present at gate reviews to the senior leadership teamWork across the ASRC Federal enterprise, to include other Operating Groups, shared services, the Chief Technology Office and the ASRC Federal Senior Leadership Team to ensure opportunities are adequately resourced and supportedCollaborate with other internal leaders and functional teams to develop and mature opportunities in our National Security Space and U.S. Space Force marketsRequirementsBachelor's Degree and 12+ years of experience leading strategic Captures or Master’s Degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experienceExisting NASA customer relationshipsExisting NOAA customer relationshipsProven ability to derive strategic solutions and win themes against vaguely defined requirementsSuccess in leading multiple opportunities simultaneously at various stages of the opportunity lifecycleAptitude to perform at high levels in a fast paced, matrixed environment with minimal or no supervisionExcellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skillsFlexible to work and lead teams through remote, in-office, or in a classified environment based on opportunity requirements and business needCurrent Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain a Secret Security Clearance is requiredWe invest in the lives of our employees, both in and out of the workplace, by providing competitive pay and benefits packages.
