OverviewDirector, Industry Advisor (Manufacturing) at Salesforce. The Industry Advisor team accelerates Salesforce growth by establishing industry credibility, best practice and thought leadership in the manufacturing industry. Our role is to be the trusted subject matter expert, collaborating with customers and cross-functional groups to develop strong points of view, stay abreast of industry trends, and identify opportunities for Salesforce growth. As an advisor to C-level executives, we listen to the voice of the customer and build lasting partnerships.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic leader to join our Advisory team as the Industry Advisor Director for Manufacturing. In this role, you will collaborate with customers and multiple internal teams to develop POVs, support manufacturing strategy, and translate industry insights into Salesforce opportunities. You will engage with customers, work with field leadership on strategic engagements and events, and represent Salesforce in executive discussions as a trusted advisor.ResponsibilitiesIndustry Expertise — leverage deep industry experience to bring a non-sales perspective on manufacturing topics. Focus on sub-verticals and timely topics to elevate customer conversations and create internal and external thought leadership. Be solution-agnostic across Salesforce offerings.Stakeholder Alignment — partner with AMER OU leaders and business partners to align priorities and craft customized POVs for customer engagements.Customer and Executive Engagements — engage customers in 1:1 and 1:many meetings, executive briefings, roundtables, and events.Account Strategy — act as trusted advisor to sales teams, translating customer needs into relevant Salesforce solutions and engagements.Impact and Execution — work with internal stakeholders to translate customer needs into strategies, roadmaps, and value delivery.OP/Account Ops — OU strategy ownership for account planning and target opportunities; account mapping and planning; develop account-specific POVs; engage with customers to present vision and elevated POV; drive deals to closure; build long-term relationships with C-level executives.QualificationsMinimum Requirements — Industry expertise in manufacturing with P&L ownership, consulting or implementing technology for the manufacturing industry; managerial experience with geographically dispersed teams; deep knowledge of manufacturing challenges and digital transformation; experience in driving digital transformation initiatives; ability to create thought leadership content and presentation materials; strong communication and writing skills; exceptional presentation skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; proven ability to lead through influence; ability to synthesize insights into points of view.Preferred Requirements — Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven success in a matrixed environment; experience across multiple roles and organizations within the industry; active membership in leading industry associations; experience across business and IT.Open toDirector/Senior Director levels.
