See sections below for detailed requirements.Primary ResponsibilitiesDrive the vision for growth in Program Management services.Implement and refine Program Management processes and systems.Coordinate staffing on relevant projects/programs for Transportation TBG.Provide oversight on large programs, including occasionally acting as the lead or principal in charge.Assist and support the strategic and tactical pursuits specific to large programs.Serve as the Program Management Business Class Director; develop and mentor staff in the Program Management Business Class and related areas (Project Controls, Procurement, Commercial Management, etc.).Develop the strategic growth plan, identify staffing needs, actively manage recruiting efforts, and identify metrics for program success.Direct efforts to utilize staff and enhance the overall success of Program Management services within HDR.Coordinate with the Company-wide Program Management Director and other Business Groups to optimize strategy, services, quality control and client service.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.A minimum of 10 years project management experience working with external clients.Understanding of HDR business services and procedures.Strong written and verbal communication skills with fact-finding experience.Active participation in an employee-owned culture is a must.Preferred QualificationsDegree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management/Science or equivalent; professional registration or PE license is a plus.20+ years of experience with a strong background in leading transportation projects.Experience as a Program Manager on large program delivery projects.Experience leading and managing staff in Program Management; comfortable with high travel volume.Ability to manage multiple projects for a variety of clients.Strong leadership skills in multi-tasking, organization, team-building, and problem solving; good interpersonal communication skills.Ability to participate in high-level presentations with current and potential clients.Location flexibility to be based in any US office.Other InformationSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Management, Consulting, and EngineeringIndustries: Civil Engineering, Truck Transportation, and Environmental ServicesWhat We Believe and Our Commitment statements have been summarized to reflect HDR’s inclusive culture and employee ownership.Required location notes and benefits are available per HDR policies; compensation varies by location and experience.Primary Location: United States-Alabama-AthensOther Locations: United States multiple locations listed as part of HDR’s broad footprintEEO Statement: HDR is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
