OverviewSenior Software Engineer - Data Bridge at Rippling. The Data Bridge team is assembling founding members to build data systems that power ML models and new product lines. This foundational platform component is positioned at the core of Rippling's compound startup strategy. We aim to build advanced data systems to exceed current integrations and enable launching groundbreaking HR, IT, and Benefits products.What You Will DoLead mission-critical projects and deliver data ingestions capabilities end-to-end with high qualityHave clear ownership of one or many products, APIs or platform spacesWork within Rippling/'s central infrastructure team, delivering highly scalable distributed data ingestion systems and building a data lake architecture for various downstream consumptionEngage with partners and customers across business domains to incorporate feedback for your product spaceEnsure operational excellence and scale the platform to support many different users across Rippling productsBuild and grow your engineering skills in challenging areas and solve hard technical problemsInfluence architecture, technology selections, and company-wide trendsWhat You Will Need5+ years of professional work experience as a backend engineerExperience driving complex cross-functional projectsExpertise in building complex distributed services with high availability and strict SLAsExperience building large-scale user-facing applications, APIs, and developer toolsStrong CS fundamentals and knowledge of architecture and design patternsProduct-focused mindset with emphasis on customer impactBonus: experience running data processing pipelines in production using distributed frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark or Flink)Bonus: experience building integrations with 3rd party SaaS providers and workflow orchestration systemsBonus: familiarity with AWS and observability toolingAdditional InformationRippling is an equal opportunity employer.
