OverviewSoftware Engineering Manager (Investment Management)This role is with a DeWinter Investment Management Partner. Boston, MA - Hybrid Role. We are targeting local candidates that can be in the Boston office 3 days per week. This position is a hybrid role that can be located in either San Francisco or Boston and requires you to be in the office two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday).What You'll DoDrive the technical roadmap for custom indexing capabilities, including tax-loss harvesting and custom indexing.Ensure high-quality software delivery through agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and robust testing.Collaborate with architecture and infrastructure teams to ensure scalability, security, and performance.Partner with Portfolio, Client Service, and Operations teams to define and prioritize features.Translate business requirements into technical specifications and project municate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders at all levels.Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers focused on custom indexing solutions.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Conduct regular performance reviews and support career development.Stay current with industry trends in wealth tech, portfolio construction, and tax optimization.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.What You'll BringRequired Experience and Skills10+ years of IT experience and 5+ years with senior-level programming and architecting responsibility, preferably in financial services.A strong understanding of investment management concepts, particularly custom indexing, tax and trade optimization, and portfolio rebalancing and pre-trading.A background with modern tech stacks (e.g., Python, Java, AWS, Kubernetes, REST APIs).Familiarity with optimizers (e.g., Axioma, Northfield).Experience with financial data providers (e.g., S&P Global, Morningstar, FactSet).Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure.Experience with SDLC processes.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Preferred Experience and SkillsExperience in fintech, asset management, or wealth management platforms.Knowledge of custom indexing or tax-aware portfolio construction.Experience leading agile teams.Familiarity with TAMPs (e.g., Vestmark).Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation Technology, Consulting, and EngineeringIndustriesFinancial Services and Investment Management #J-18808-Ljbffr
