This role is at the heart of Coinbase’s next decade, where we move beyond the exchange and into making crypto payments work in the real world.ResponsibilitiesOwn all facets of a product area from crafting the vision and strategy to executingDefine and execute a global payments roadmap for our flagship consumer product, impacting millions of usersSizing opportunities, analyzing market trends, and identifying the highest-impact real-world use cases for crypto payments and utilityPartner with design, engineering, and growth to deliver seamless, user-friendly payment features that scale globallyDevelop and execute consumer growth strategies, including referral programs, social growth loops, and network effectsProactively addressing fraud, risk, and compliance considerations while preserving an excellent user experienceWhat we look for in you8+ years of Product Management experience, with a proven track record of shipping consumer products at a global scale3+ years of experience launching successful products in fintech, DeFi, or similarly complex domainsProduct vision and execution: Proven ability to translate bold ideas into delightful, impactful features with measurable resultsGrowth mindset: Experience in consumer product growth—especially in referral programs, social engagement, or viralityPayments expertise: Background in payments, fintech, or crypto products, with a deep understanding of user needs and market trendsAnalytical skills: Market sizing, opportunity assessment, and turning complex data into actionable product insightsCross-functional leadership: Able to align diverse stakeholders—from engineers to compliance teams—behind a shared visionUser obsession: Relentless focus on creating intuitive, trustworthy, and scalable payment experiencesNice to haveExperience in crypto payments or working with stablecoins like USDCFamiliarity with fraud prevention, risk management, or compliance in financial productsCrypto-forward experience, including interacting with Bitcoin and Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps on networks like Base, Solana, and LightningPay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below.
