Job Description Title: Head of Procurement Operations - Defense and Space Employer: Airbus Americas, Inc. Location: Newport Beach, CA Responsibilities: Support and coordinate Procurement Operations - Defense and Space to maximize efficiency and optimize the team’s skill sets; review team workload and capacity. Forecast team activities against open WBS, ensuring alignment with Project Controllers. Conduct staff performance reviews and compensation decisions. Ensure the department operates in accordance with Ethics and Export Compliance, and meets security requirements. Provide local SCQM and SDM support for the North American Airbus supply chain through example and guidance. Perform Supplier Development missions according to Airbus SO.DM.03 process. Lead supplier assessments and audits; create development plans and coordinate supplier development activities; lead supplier recovery missions. Report progress of development and recovery activities to stakeholders in Europe. Travel up to 60% domestically and internationally; telework permitted up to 2 days per week.
