OverviewSenior Data Solution Architect (Finance) position for Saalex is in Bethesda, MD, supporting NSWC Carderock's requirements for engineering, IT, and technical support for data analysis, software development and modifications, control system development, IT and Information Assurance (IA). The work supports various projects related to surface ships, submarines, boats and combatant craft, air vehicles, other vehicles through air and/or water, associated trainers and simulators, and IT infrastructure.Senior Data Solution Architect research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software programs. Hardware includes computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and related equipment. They develop software systems that control computers, and may supervise manufacturing and installation of computer-related equipment.They develop new computer software systems and incorporate new technologies across a growing range of applications. Software engineers apply principles from computer science, engineering, and mathematics to design, develop, test, and evaluate software and systems, analyze users’ needs, and design, construct, test, and maintain software or systems. They may work on software for operating systems, network distribution, and compilers, and solve technical problems that arise. Strong programming skills are required, with emphasis on algorithms and problem solving rather than only coding.Position DetailsPosition Type: Full-TimeSalary: $140k - $198k annually (depending on experience)Work Location: Onsite. Candidates are required to work onsite full-time in Bethesda, MD.RequirementsRequired:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Software or IT discipline, Engineering, or Mathematics.Desired:Possess and maintain all qualifications for certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).Twenty (20) years of experience in Cyber and IT strategy and planning. The twenty (20) years of experience shall include experience in all of the following:Architecting, developing, deploying and leading large scale data migrations involving time series data streams with multiple data channels such as those collected from full-scale trials, model scale tests, and digital simulations.Developing data storage solutions for large data repositories that ensure integrity, redundancy and availability while maintaining the original raw data.Deploying reporting engines on top of databases and database architectures such as Oracle, TimeScaleDB and PostgreSQL.Using tools to analyze platform time series data such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in maritime applications.Building and supporting cloud based solutions in Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud and VMware.Security ClearanceActive Secret clearance required.
