With strong early customer traction and an experienced founding team, the company is well-positioned to scale quickly.The ideal candidate will:Have a J.D. with strong academic credentials and active membership in at least one U.S. state barBring 5+ years of combined law firm and in-house experience, with a significant portion focused on B2B SaaSPossess expertise negotiating complex SaaS and technology agreements with sophisticated enterprise customersDemonstrate working knowledge of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), IP ownership/licensing, and information security requirementsBe comfortable operating independently in a dynamic, high-growth setting—balancing multiple priorities and making judgment calls in real timeBe an excellent communicator who builds trust and works collaboratively across business, technical, and legal teamsResponsibilities include:Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements with a focus on enterprise SaaS contractsServing as the primary legal partner to GTM teams, providing practical guidance that aligns legal risk with business goalsCoordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel to move processes forward efficientlyDeveloping scalable contracting workflows, playbooks, and enablement materials that accelerate deal velocity while safeguarding the companyAdvising on data privacy, security, intellectual property, and regulatory mattersPartnering closely with Product and Engineering to integrate privacy and security principles into product development and compliance initiativesThis is an outstanding opportunity for a lawyer who wants to be the architect of a legal function, working side by side with an accomplished founding team in a high-growth, well-funded entrepreneurial company. The role is based in San Francisco and is in-office, though the company offers flexibility in hours and scheduling. The targeted base compensation range is $200,000 to $240,000, with equity and comprehensive benefits included.
