For more information, please visit our website: .Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Senior-Level Financial Management Analyst/Consultant to support the Shipbuilding & Conversion, Navy (SCN) new construction process. This position works across stakeholders at the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR), Program Executive Office for Manpower, Logistics, and Business Solutions (PEO MLB). Our consultants work directly with government clients to support complex financial Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Execution (PPBE), and programmatic issues.The new ship construction Financial Management Analyst/Consultant position requires a minimum of 7 years of related Shipbuilding & Conversion, Navy (SCN) financial management experience and a desire to work in consulting and finance. This position will be working with a team of consultants, as well as independent direct tasking and communication with clients daily. Our SCN financial management support covers a range of PPBE services, to include development of NAVSEA Form 7300 budgets and execution of funding documents, annual obligation phasing and spend plan requirements. We are looking for candidates who are available to begin support immediately.This consulting position will provide specialized experience in accounting and financial management support requiring independent decision making with minimal oversight/supervision. General accounting activities include account analysis/reconciliation, monthly variance analysis and analytics, financial tracking, reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities. This position is responsible for compiling and analyzing financial information and advising clients regarding key financial and operational issues. Proactive communication and organization skills are also critical to success in this position.ResponsibilitiesNAVSEA shipbuilding process knowledge and experience - SCN appropriation and NAVSEA Form 7300 budget expertise (7 years minimum experience required)Financial systems data entry and maintenance - responsible for entering, extracting, manipulating and transferring/reporting data to/from multiple financial systemsProcess funding to vendors to include required financial data entry, execution actions, and trackingPrepare account reconciliations/analysis to ensure funding accuracy/consistency and conduct appropriate accounting research as neededExtract and analyze data from various internal systems (e.g. N-ERP); compile relevant information into spreadsheets/reports/presentations; present summaries and recommendationsPerform financial analysis required to prepare and analyze accurate monthly execution performance reportsConduct financial modeling and monthly budgeting and forecastingRespond to requests for ad-hoc reports and variance analysis from customers in a timely and professional mannerDaily use of MS Excel with application of special features, such as Pivot Tables and V Look-UpsQualification RequirementsBachelor's Degree from an Accredited College or UniversityAbility to obtain a minimum of SECRET Government Security Clearance, requires TS/SCI clearance when supporting TS/SCI programs/projectsMinimum of seven (7) years of experience with Navy or DoD acquisition organizations providing financial management and/or consulting experienceAdvanced-level experience using MS Excel(Desired) Experience using data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel charting tools, etc.)(Desired) Experience in accounting, consulting, government finance, SCN, NAVSEA, NAVWAR, PEO MLB financial systems, and the government planning, programming, budgeting, and execution process (PPBE)Desired Skills and ExperienceApplicants must demonstrate clear and effective communication, work well in a team environment, perform under pressure, and learn new processes, software, and financial systems quickly. Excel is used daily, so existing and demonstrated experience is required. Experience with the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) System is desired but not required. Financial data visualization (i.e. Power BI, Tableau) experience is also strongly desired. Eligibility for access to classified information is predicated upon the individual meeting personnel security guidelines. The adjudication process is the careful weighing of a number of variables known as the whole-person concept.Marijuana remains illegal under federal law as a Schedule I drug in the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), meaning any use of marijuana is illegal under federal law, regardless of state and local governments' legalizing or decriminalizing uses of marijuana. This applies to recreational marijuana use, medical marijuana use, as well as use of cannabidiol (CBD) products. Adherence to federal laws prohibiting marijuana use is evaluated in the security process. The use of marijuana can raise security concerns about an individual’s reliability and trustworthiness to access classified information or hold a sensitive position.
