This is a high-profile position that will work withenergyleaders and client serving teams across the different EY practices.Your key responsibilitiesAs Energy companies explore opportunities to set up and optimize their energy trading function your role will be to enable this journey, undertaking some or all the following responsibilities:Define and document trading front, middle and back-office process designExperience in defining and implementing an energy trading organizational modelTrading front, middle and back-office benchmarking, surveys, and market scans for new and emerging technology / value creation opportunitiesVendor Assessments & Scoring and Fit/Gap AnalysisIntegration and alignment of cross product and cross region commodity trading processes and technologiesAbility to leverage prior energy trading experience to identify new business opportunitiesFunctional design and requirements gathering across front office, risk, accounting, settlements, logistics, and schedulingAbility to work across various stakeholder groups, including business, front office, and technical teamsUnderstanding of capital adequacy, liquidity, and treasury as it pertains to energy trading organizationsDevelopment of energy trading functional and technical roadmapsCommodity management vision settingCommercial strategy for new energiesTo qualify for the role, you must have:A bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, finance, or a related field and approximately 5 years of work experienceMinimum of 3 years of experience working within the oil and gastradingsector, particularly with the front officeTechnical/Functional ETRM system implementation experience or ETRMImplementation experienceExperience inenergycommodities and understanding of the commercial aspects of commoditytrading, marketing, or procurementExperience with the transaction lifecycle for commodities and the nuances that come with executing physical or financial commodity transactionsDemonstrated ability to liaise between business, technology, and vendor teamsStrategic thinking and solutioning skills to craft a strong value propositionStrong understanding of the current solutions in the market and ability to craft a specific point of view for our clientsImplementing solutions for our clientsStrong collaboration and teamingCurious mindset and desire to learn and growHighly seasoned project management skills and ability to complete multiple tasks in afast-paced environmentAbility to influence at all levels of the organizationStrong executive facilitation skills related to strategy development and problemsolvingExceptional written and oral communication skills on a global basis (includingPresentations) as well as listening and interpretation skillsWillingness to go out of your comfort zone to break new ground and explore part of yourIndustry Market which you are not most familiarWillingness to travel up to 60%Ideally you will also havePrior experience in oil and gasExperiences across multiple technology platformsFunctional design and requirements gathering across front office, risk, accounting, settlements, and logistics & schedulingDetailed technical and solution design for ETRM (ION products, SAP Commodity Management, etc.)Solution Architecture, Data architecture and Infrastructure Performance and Cost OptimizationExperience with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud PlatformExperience with SAP Cloud Platform IntegrationExperience with JAVA, OpenComponents, OpenJVS, OpenAVS and SAP ABAP developmentSQL, Python or similar languagesWhat we look forWe are looking for people that are passionate consultants, at the top of their game, but who would like to continue to grow their subject matter expertise and help others around them to grow their potential.What we offer youAt EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $142,600 to $261,500. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $171,200 to $297,200. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
