As a strategic impact executive at Two Six, you will shape the roadmap for manufacturing excellence, enabling Two Six Technologies to deliver high-performance hardware systems—such as secure communications devices, embedded boards, and mission-ready computers—at scale and with precision.This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with a strong R&D foundation who has successfully transitioned into senior operational and revenue-generating roles. As the VP, you will work closely with technical leadership, R&D engineers, and executive stakeholders to ensure our products are designed and built for manufacturability, efficiency, and mission success.This position reports to our Chief Performance Officer and the Executive Leadership Team and it offers outstanding visibility and growth opportunities. Work location is flexible within the US. We anticipate regular travel to our Arlington and Herndon, Virginia offices as well as other locations such as Dayton, Ohio with possibilities for other locations based on market opportunities.What you will do:Strategic Manufacturing LeadershipDevelop and articulate a clear, scalable manufacturing strategy aligned with Two Six Technologies’ growth strategies in the national security, IC and commercial communitiesDrive scale-up strategies for classified and mission-critical hardware solutionsPartner with R&D to ensure that design-for-manufacturing principles are embedded early in the processOperational ExcellenceEnvision, design and lead end-to-end manufacturing operations: prototyping, testing, supply chain, logistics, quality control, packaging, and deliveryIdentify and establish cost-effective U.S.-based manufacturing locationsForecast production needs and align supply chain strategies with growth targetsCompliance & SecurityEnsure manufacturing processes meet security and compliance standards for classified programsMaintain rigorous quality and reliability standards for mission-critical deploymentsCross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with executive leadership, product teams, R&D and engineering to align manufacturing goals with business objectivesServe as a key voice in product lifecycle decisions, from concept to spire and Align Teams:Cultivate a culture of innovation, accountability and excellence across manufacturing and engineering teams-ensuring manufacture needs and mission-readinessMotivate cross-functional groups to rally around a shared vision for scalable, secure hardware solutionsPartner with Finance to model cost-effective production strategies and forecast capital needsWork with C-suite and Operations to ensure supply-chain, logistics and delivery capabilities match product growth goalsExecutive Engagement:Align production goals with broader company objectives, including revenue growth, customer satisfaction and national security impactPresent production strategies and performance metrics to the leadership team and board. Participate in presenting manufacturing capabilities to clientsIdeal Candidate ProfileThe ability to energize technical and operational teams around a bold manufacturing vision.An experienced leader capable of inspiring teams to push boundaries and deliver exceptional resultsProven success in building and scaling manufacturing functions for hardware products, preferably in national security/IC marketsDeep understanding of the hardware development lifecycle and secure communications systemsExperience in the cleared space (IC, DoD) with an active Top Secret clearance preferred (we will sponsor highly qualified candidates without a clearance)Background in R&D with a transition to senior leadership and operational rolesStrong strategic thinking, with the ability to craft and execute long-term manufacturing roadmaps-skilled in translating vision into strategy; and strategy into executionExceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills; Adept at building consensus across technical, financial and operational teamsWhat you will need (basic qualifications)Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any related field. Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA preferred10+ years of experience in Research, and Development (R&D) and Manufacturing plus demonstrated experience building and growing a successful production/manufacturing solution supporting national security/IC communitiesStrong business and financial acumen and focus on actions and outcomes.Demonstrated capabilities in developing effective relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and service providers.Security Clearance:Eligible and willing to obtain a DoD clearance up to TS/SCI.
