Site Civil Engineer

DiPrete Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer I to join our Cranston office. This is a great opportunity for an engineer with 5+ years of civil engineering experience to take on complex design work and play an active role in delivering high-quality site development projects across New England.What You’ll Do:Independently prepare civil engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for site development projects.Perform complex site grading, drainage, and utility design.Oversee the preparation of permit applications and regulatory submissions.Conduct field investigations and site assessments to collect data and support project designs.Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and other engineering software to create detailed site plans and designs.Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and best practices in project work.Stay current with local, state, and federal permitting processes and requirements.Support project engineers and project managers in client meetings and communications.Assist in addressing client inquiries and providing project updates.Engage in continuous learning opportunities, including training sessions and workshops.Stay current with emerging engineering technologies, tools, and best practices.Actively seek feedback and apply lessons learned to improve performance and skills.What We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in site design and construction processes.Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, Excel, Word, and related software.Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and basic computer systems.E.I.T. certification preferred, or the ability to obtain within one year.Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.Demonstrated problem-solving ability and critical thinking mitment to collaboration, continuous learning, and professional integrity.Accountability for project deliverables and a focus on producing quality results.Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000 (commensurate with experience)Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.Why Join DiPrete?At DiPrete Engineering, you’ll do more than design projects—you’ll help shape communities.
