DescriptionThe Senior Pipeline Engineer would sit in our Minneapolis office and be responsible for oversight pipeline engineering and consulting services for clients across the US. Main responsibilities include leading others in creating pipeline design deliverables. Projects range in size and complexity from small utility distribution upgrades to large transmission projects. This position can influence the growth and success of the Pipelines group. Opportunities to advance into leadership roles are available.Senior Pipeline Engineer may include full or partial responsibility of the following assignments:Lead in the execution of engineering activitiesPipeline design including plans, profiles, details and associated bill of materialsPipeline facility design (metering and regulating stations, storage field upgrades, and compressor stations) including plans, sections, and details and associated bill of materialsCoordination to obtain survey, geotechnical investigations, permitting, land acquisition.Calculations for studies and reportsMaterial and equipment specifications for procurement and/or factory acceptance testingLead in preparation of proposals and scope development, includingConceptual designs and execution plansEngineering/project cost estimates and schedulesLead coordination of design activities with other disciplines (Pipeline Facilities, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, etc.)Develop and improve processes, tools and/or factory acceptance testingProvide leadership, training and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team membersRegularly meet and correspond with clients or outside personnelProvide short term field support during constructionSupport business development and marketing initiativesQualificationsBachelor Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program. and 7 years pipeline engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Required orBachelor Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology or related degree from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. and 7 years pipeline engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Required orMaster Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 6 years pipeline engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. RequiredExpert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong computer skills (e.g. AutoCAD, MicroStation, ATF).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.Ability to travel.Professional Engineer (PE) License PreferredCompensation$135,000.00-210,000.00 YearlyThe expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location.
