This position will remain open for application based on business need, which may be before or after the 3-day posting window.Job DescriptionBESS Asset Performance Engineer I I , Operations EngineeringPosition OverviewAs an Operations Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to a large fleet of Battery Energy Storage Systems in regards tooperation, troubleshooting, and analysis of Invenergy’s Energy Storage facilities.Responsibilities:Provide first line engineering support for the day-to-day operations of the Invenergy utility-scale s torage fleetDiagnose issues with and troubleshoot technical systems on sites, including Battery Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), Power Plant Controllers, Power Conversion Systems, Fire Suppression Systems, and HVAC systems.Collaborate with cross functional groups to resolve issues on site (Control Center, SCADA, on-site technicians, EHS, other operations engineers)Identify, evaluate, and resolve equipment reliability and performance issues to maximize site energy terface with equipment manufacturers to resolve technical issues and develop best operating practices.Develop procedures and technical documentation regarding the safe and efficient operation of storage facilities.Evaluate electrical engineering drawings and studies associated with Energy Storage Systems and their applications for operationsParticipate in regular site operation calls and work with field personnel to investigate equipment issues and maximize performanceOnboard new storage projects into operating fleetSome travel is required (Required QualificationsD egree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , or related field (or equivalent experience)Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics4-6+ years of experience in engineering, systems integration, or technical support roles2-4 yearsof directly relevant experience with relevant Advanced DegreeStrong oral and written communication skillsProblem solving and critical thinkingAbility to independently manage projects and drive initiativesEligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred SkillsExperience with BESS SystemsEnergy Storagespecific experience with: Power Conversion Systems (SMA, Power Electronics, TMEIC , EPC Power ), HMI Platforms ( Powin Kobold , Inductive Automation Ignition , Fluence )Degree concentration in Power Systems or Renewable Energy SystemsUnderstanding of Electrical Safety PracticesWorking knowledge of NEC, NESC, ASCE and ANSI/IEEE standards and codes.Understanding of Electrical Safety PracticesExperience with HV/MV electrical infrastructureBase Pay$82,000.00 - $105,000.00 USD AnnualBonus: 15%The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position.
