Workplace typeRemoteAbout The PositionField Service Technician II – East Coast USHourly Rate: $39-$43/hour, depending on experienceEligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal guidelinesRemote Position – East Coast USSummaryThe primary responsibility of the Field Service Technician is to travel to customer sites throughout the continental United States with East Coast focus and provide repairs to Alma Lasers equipment and complete Preventative Maintenance as scheduled. This position will sometimes provide level two technical trouble shooting with customers via phone.This position will be primarily focused on servicing our West Coast customers.We are looking for candidates living in or near the following locations:This position is remote, and we are looking for qualified candidates who reside near the East Coast -USCome be a part of the amazing culture here at Alma!Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning medical instruments or equipmentRead diagrams and schematics to perform full board swaps as neededTest machines after repair to ensure proper functionalityMaintain and complete all repair documentation paperworkProvide Level 2 support via phone to customers and internal employeesAbide by company safety and health policiesLow voltage electrical repair, using Multimeter, Oscilloscope, and other hand tools to troubleshoot and repair equipmentSet appointments to perform preventive maintenance, service calls, and installationsWork closely with the Client Relations team to resolve customer issuesPerform device calibration using specified test equipment such as power metersMentor and aid other field service personnelDevelop troubleshooting documents for our Client Relations teamPlanningProblem Solving/AnalysisTechnical CapacityOrganizational SkillsCustomer Facing Communication ProficiencyAbility to retain large amounts of informationEducation and Experience RequiredAssociates degree in electrical or electronic repair, or equivalent experience4+ years of Field Service experienceExperience with component level repair, preferredKnowledgeable of ISO 13485 certification, preferredSkills RequiredPositive attitude and approach to the job responsibilities and the Alma teamAbility to read diagrams and schematicsMicrosoft Applications (MS Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook)NetSuite and Salesforce experience, preferredExcellent organizational skillsPositive attitude and approach to the job responsibilities and the Alma teamAbility to multitaskSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no direct reports but assists in mentoring peers and other departments as needed.This job operates in a professional office environment as well as medical offices in the field. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position also utilizes hand tools and electrical meters.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
