We build it.Reports to: Chief Technology OfficerPosition OverviewAs the Principal Robotics Engineer on the Glidance team, you will build breakthrough solutions at the forefront of advanced robotics and ML techniques applied to sensible wayfinding and navigation in highly unstructured, complex, and dynamic real-world environments. You will join a team that values bold and unconventional solutions to hard problems and goes the extra mile obsessing about the user experience with our products and services.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement robotics systems for Glide, Glidance's self-guided mobility aid.Collaborate in a cross-functional team integrating AI and ML algorithms, sensors, and control systems using ROS 2.Optimize navigation algorithms for real-world scenarios, ensuring safety and reliability.Contribute to hardware and software architecture designs.Conduct testing, validation, and performance analysis of robotic systems.Qualifications:Master's or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field.10 years direct work experience in the field of autonomous mobile robots.Extensive experience with ROS2 and Nav2.Strong experience in perception, motion planning, and controls.Strong engineering ethic and proficiency in C++, Python, and CI/CD tools.Passion for creating innovative solutions that positively impact people's lives.Familiarity with debugging electro-mechanical systems and sensors.Experience with modern SLAM and sensor fusion techniques.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic startup environment.Why Join Glidance?Be part of a mission-driven company that makes a real difference in people's lives.Work as part of a talented and passionate team at the forefront of AI and robotics.Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of personal petitive compensation package and equity options. #J-18808-Ljbffr
