As the Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering, you will help coach and mentor our world-class team of Solution Engineers to support our Sales Team to meet and exceed our revenue targets. You will support your team to execute winning strategies to position Amplitude’s value in the hearts and minds of our prospects.This is a “hands on” role. Ideal candidates must be ready to perform demonstrations to executives, drive urgency to secure the technical win and build relationships with technical stakeholders. They must “lead from the front”. To be successful in this role, you must be directly involved in opportunity strategy and execution.Candidates must have a track record of success as both an individual contributor and a manager of Pre-Sales teams. They push people to be more than they thought they could be.As a Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering, you will:Prioritize creating great relationships both internally and with our customersLead from the front. Own the success of the opportunities in your region. You will be expected to remove barriers to achieving the technical win and own the performance of the team.Help us meet or exceed our revenue targets.Coach and develop a team of high performance Solutions Engineers.Be an excellent recruiter.Articulate a deep understanding of Amplitude technology to prospect and customer audiences, from the C-suite to Dept Heads to Engineering, removing obstacles and delivering differentiated technical and business value propositions and proof points to customersTravel to customer on-sites to support demos and presentations to build strong customer relationshipsYou'll be a great addition to the team if you have:A track record of displaying Amplitude’s core values: ownership, humility and growth mindsetPassion for encouraging individual development and learning through clear feedback, equitable & inclusive processes, and hands-on management techniquesExcellent communication, listening, and presentation skillsAn appetite for self-improvement, encouraging team growth, and seeking new informationPrior experience with analytics, business intelligence, experimentation, DMPs and/or CDPsAt a minimum, you need to have:4+ years managing and leading a Pre-Sales solutions or Solutions Engineering team with average deal sizes of $250k or more4+ years of individual contributor Solutions Engineering experience in a customer-facing roleAbility to travel up to 30% if neededWho We AreThe Company: Amplitude is filled with humble, life-long learners who are eager to help one another and the company succeed.
