Influence teams around a common purpose and coordinate on the plan of execution.- Create and manage project schedules with clear dependencies, critical paths, and systematic methodologies to communicate status effectively.- Proactively identify and manage risks, close gaps, and re-plan as needed.- Keep teams focused on the critical path, minimizing distractions.- Provide clear, timely, and objective communication, including regular program status updates and ad hoc reviews for the executive team.- Monitor potential gaps across dependency teams and promote regular communication based on a shared source of truth.- Ensure alignment among stakeholder teams when new factors emerge.- Lead metrics to help the team understand and measure success, including quality, usage scale, and other KPIs.- Advocate for user and company values when guiding the team through open questions.- Lead early feedback collection from internal testing during feature convergence and drive iterative improvements.- Advocate for quality and user experience using quantitative and qualitative data.- Reflect on team operations and proactively propose improvements to enhance process efficiency and results delivery.Minimum Qualifications8+ years of experience in managing large-scale programs building machine learning-powered products.Excellent program management skills, including structuring programs and managing multiple interdependent work streams.Self-motivated and proactive, with strong creative and critical thinking skills.Effective communicator, capable of delivering clear project updates to all audience levels, both verbally and in writing.Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications8+ years experience in search and generative answer quality improvements is a plus.Ability to handle ambiguity, drive disambiguation, and shepherd multiple teams to meet aggressive timelines.Experience coordinating delivery of multiple significant client/server software products across large organizations.Strategic, results-driven mindset focusing on impactful outcomes.Strong leadership skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation, and risk-taking.Adaptability and agility in adjusting project strategies with evolving situations.Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Solid understanding of technical system architecture and design tradeoffs.At Apple, base pay ranges from $163,300 to $290,100, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
