BS/BA 2+ years OR MS/MA 0+ years of experience.Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering (or closely related degree) required.Must be a U.S. citizen.Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or DoD final security clearance prior to hiring. An active DoD Secret clearance is highly desirable.Demonstrable knowledge of theories and concepts of underwater acoustics, including the physics of acoustic transmission, measurement, and analysis ternally motivated with a "self-starter" personality.Reliable, capable of working independently or in a small team without close supervision.Peraton is seeking an R&D Engineer to work directly with Navy customers on developing and maintaining electro-mechanical systems for naval applications.Location: Onsite in West Bethesda, MDWork within a government-contractor team to execute engineering, testing, and analysis of hull, mechanical, and electrical systems.Support projects through modeling, data acquisition, signal processing, analysis, and reporting of acoustic and vibration data.Provide engineering expertise in evaluating acoustic and vibration data using MATLAB for data acquisition, processing, and reporting.Work with PCs and embedded systems running Windows and Linux, using MATLAB, LabVIEW, and C++/C#.Develop and recommend technical solutions to acoustic signal processing challenges within existing architectures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
