Reliability Engineer - ASR Location: United States, Baltimore, Maryland Job Type: Contract Job ID: 163237 Salary: Negotiable Overview This position provides leadership in the organization or functional area, primarily engaged in management activities that establish the direction of a department, function, or project. It requires applying knowledge gained from experience and expertise to the job duties. The role involves making decisions that may impact the organization, employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, or compliance programs. Scope The Reliability Engineer is responsible for strategic maintenance programs aimed at enhancing the reliability of plant equipment and improving work processes, safety, work effectiveness, and diagnostic and problem-solving abilities of the maintenance workforce. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Implement and sustain Operations and Maintenance (O&M) best practices, including reliability, plant, and maintenance engineering, planning and scheduling, materials management, and change management. Manage work to contractual terms, eliminate leakage, and optimize returns. Promote multi-discipline applications by understanding industry-specific project planning/scheduling technologies, maintenance engineering, and project control systems. Support operations through project execution, quality, and schedule compliance activities on multiple projects. Develop preventative and predictive maintenance programs to improve service quality. Plan and schedule activities around routine maintenance, preventative/predictive maintenance, and shutdowns to reduce operational costs. Participate in project alignments with plant operations personnel to optimize plant operations. Assess client financial and operational capabilities to develop business opportunities and suggest operational revisions. Develop marketing strategies by creating project business models and pricing strategies. Minimum Qualifications Accredited four-year degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with at least 8 years of related experience, or a total of 12 years if non-degreed. Effective communication skills with diverse audiences. Technical knowledge necessary to perform the job. Ability to learn and apply relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
