This role focuses on the systematic teardown and analysis of electronics and battery systems to determine material composition and properties.This is a great opportunity to gain experienceKey Responsibilities:Perform careful disassembly of electronic devices and battery systems following strict safety protocolsConduct materials composition analysis using spectroscopic and microscopic techniquesDocument and maintain detailed records of teardown procedures and findingsCreate and maintain bills of materials (BOM) for analyzed systemsSupport R&D initiatives through systematic investigation of material propertiesContribute to laboratory capability development and process improvementsRequired Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or related field3+ years hands-on experience in electronics disassembly or materials analysisStrong understanding of chemical composition and material propertiesDemonstrated experience with laboratory safety protocols and proceduresExperience with analytical instruments (spectroscopy, microscopy)Strong attention to detail and systematic approach to workAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred Qualifications:Experience with robotics systemsKnowledge of battery technologies and electronicsLaboratory equipment maintenance experiencePrevious experience in R&D environmentStrong safety mindset and commitment to laboratory protocolsNatural curiosity and problem-solving orientationExcellent manual dexterity and precision in handling componentsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodsEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
