We are looking for adedicated Party Chief/ Survey Technician (Field-to-Finish) to grow with our collaborative team and work on a wide variety of infrastructure projects.Based in San Francisco, California or Nevada, working hybrid (remotely or from a Jacobs office), we will ask you work on a one or two-person field crew to perform surveys using GNSS and Robotic Total Station equipment with potential to travel to sites across the US and Globe. You will also process those surveys to create survey products such as control surveys, boundary surveys, and topographic surveys. It is expected that approximately 50% of the role will be in the field and 50% will be in the office.We’ll Also Ask you to: Perform field duties on a one or two-person crew, including:Perform control, boundary, topography, laser scanning and other tasks.Collect survey data using GNSS receivers, scanners, total stations, levels, and survey controllers.Produce clear and concise field notes and quality field municate with supervisor and office staff about important aspects of the project.Work outdoors in variable weather conditions and varied terrain.Field crew setupGeodetic control network planning and designControl survey processing and adjustmentConstruction staking preparation and quality checkingFeature processing of topographic field dataGenerating, editing and clean-up of Digital Terrain Models (DTM)Title commitment reviewPublic records researchCOGO calculations and boundary resolutionWriting property descriptionsObtaining Right of EntryEnsuring all QC plans are followedAssisting PM in estimating surveying tasksScheduling tasksCollaborate with a multi-discipline team.Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.Participate in department and field crew training.Represent Jacobs with professionalism.This position is paid hourly. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all locations.We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery.
