Quality Manager – Civil Construction

Compensation: 150,000.-200,000. / AnnuallyOur client, a nationwide leader in civil construction, has an immediate need for an experienced Quality Manager, to join their winning team in Washington.Our candidate of choice will bring at least ten years of experience in support heavy civil construction testing, inspection, supervision or management in support of large public works projectsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Developing and revising Quality Management Plan, based on lesson learned and improve the Quality Management ProcessAn overall review of incoming inspections, in-process inspections, final inspections, and calibration records, and trainingResponsible for internal/external auditing (construction entities, and other subcontractorsSchedule and provide training for Preparation Phase trainingThe QA for all inspection and test activities and attend and verify tests and inspections required to ensure material compliance with the plans and specificationsContract Document requirements execution and oversightPerform quality oversight on all subcontractors by reviewing Subcontractor Quality Management Plan/Quality Control Plan and reviewing agreements with subconsultantsMonitor subconsultant performance and compliance with the ContractEnsure adequate resources (QC Team) are available for the projectGeneral QC administrationQC staffing and supervisionCoordinate QC testing with QC subconsultant such as Material Testing Lab and Commissioning Agent/System Integrator.Provide recommendation and communication with DOR for problem solution and verification of corrective actions. Develop and implement corrective measures in cases of noncompliance.Verify corrective action(s) Maintain QC records in accordance with QMPEnsure and verify the Subcontractors perform inspection for all construction materials to be used at the site to ensure compliance with material approvalsResponsible for the strict adherence to company safety policies and programsPerform primary quality assurance/quality control inspections required in conformance with the project contract drawing and specifications.Attend all jobsites and prepare documentation for Quality MeetingsKEY REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management or similar, from an accredited institution10 or more years of experience in support heavy civil construction testing, inspection, supervision or management in support of large public works projectsFive (5) or more years as a Supervisor or Manager of construction quality control teamsExperience with contract specifications as they apply to quality control teamsExperience with MS OfficeExcellent written and verbal skillsPlease apply today to be immediately considered for the role!Elgen Staffing is the fastest growing staffing agency in New Jersey.
