Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something.We are looking for an engineer who can architect the next generation display technology for Apple products. In this unique position, you will have first-hand access to novel display technologies, and will be responsible for characterizing and optimizing electro-optical performance, and pushing the limits of panel technology, designing compensation algorithms, prototyping the target performance in simulations and demos, and supporting product development to mass production.DescriptionPerform detailed engineering analysis on new display technologies through modeling and measurement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define performance targets and test criteria based on vision perception.Translate performance targets into sub-architectures for panels and compensation algorithms in hardware/software.Perform pixel driving timing and voltage sensitivity analysis to optimize performance prior to manufacturing.Design and prototype compensation algorithms, considering sensitivity to process, voltage, and temperature variations.Create behavioral models of the algorithms and validate them pre- and post-silicon.Design calibration flows, including equipment and test vectors, and collaborate with teams to identify optimal factory placement.Deep domain expertise in display panels, mixed-signal circuit design, array-based circuits, or characterization automation is required.Minimum QualificationsB.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.Experience in display panel or circuit design (analog/mixed-signal) or array-based systems.Lab experience, including data acquisition and measurement automation.Preferred QualificationsMaster's or Ph.D. in a relevant field.Passion for engineering, curiosity, and innovative thinking.Circuit simulation experience (e.g., HSPICE, Spectre).Proficiency in Python and Matlab scripting.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of the time.Apple offers a competitive total compensation package, including base pay ranging from $139,500 to $258,100, depending on skills and experience.
