With our unmatched work ethic, and an ability to go above and beyond to make a difference for our clients, the Northeast continues to experience double-digit (organic!) growth.We offer a flexible & hybrid work environment that allows our Associates to split their time between in-person and remote.Position OverviewThe Client Manager is at the forefront of our Lockton Northeast Client Engagement strategy. They are directly responsible for the day-to-day servicing needs of Clients within the Lockton Northeast series Construction platform under the general guidance of the Construction Team Leader, Account Executive and/or Senior Client Manager. Overall responsibilities include marketing/placement/servicing of select lines of insurance and execution of day-to-day administrative and service needs. The Associate must be familiar with Lockton Northeast resources, policies & procedures and ensure overall compliance. The Client Manager will be a participant in the Lockton Northeast Career Advancement Program which is designed to provide technical and practical training supporting continued career progression. A high performing and successful Client Manager will deliver transactional excellence and provide great customer service.Core ResponsibilitiesSupports Team Leader, Account Executive or Senior Client Manager on complex Lockton Northeast Construction clientsOwns the service delivery and renewal process on a designated book of business including but not limited to marketing, placement and overall service (under the oversight of the Team Leader, Account Executive or Senior Client Manager)Responds to Client’s inquiries, maintains documentation of communications, existing issues, and issue resolutionsProvides Client service aligned with Lockton Northeast processes and protocols and our overall Client Engagement strategySupports implementation of new lines of coverage by setting up account, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing program details with Client and Insurer. Engages senior level resources to support resolution where neededGathers and compiles exposure information from the ClientRequests and collects quotes (new and renewal) from carriers. Prepares coverage and financial analysis to compare/review quotations. Has the ability to interpret and outline key coverage and financial termsAudits quotes, binders, and endorsements and makes requests for changes as neededProcesses audits and creates audit analysis for ClientClient Manager is able to lead meetings with client independently by delivering content in a clear and concise manner. A ClientManager is prepared, has thought through the obstacles and issues, has consulted with underwriter prior and has brought Team Leader, Account Executive or Senior Client Manager up to speed on key issues prior; is able to deliver solutions for identified problems or issuesReceives policy, then updates and completes policy check to ensure completeness and accuracyUpdates specifications, application, and summary information to reflect changes during the yearBuilds coverage specifications independently based on their assessment of client coverage needsInforms Client of any and all changes that may affect insurance premiums or coverageGathers and compiles information for new business opportunities and generates materials for Client presentations and meetingsCreates and sends compliance communications as neededLeverages analytics to support program design, negotiation and Client decision makingWorks with TSA to issue and process Invoices, Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID CardsConducts complex contract reviewResolves accounting issuesEngages in and participates in special projects to support Northeast strategic prioritiesUnderstands and leverages Lockton resources at the center of the companyResearches industry trends and governmental regulationsPerforms other responsibilities and duties as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in a business-related program preferred or equivalent education and/or experience requiredA minimum of four years of commercial Property and Casualty insurance experience and/or insurance broking/consulting experience requiredAbility to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlinesExceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsAbility to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company informationWillingness and ability to work outside of normal business hours and travel as neededStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)Legally able to work in the United StatesA successful candidate will have:An eagerness and enthusiasm to learn and be a part of their respective Unit or PracticeAn ability to work as part of a teamStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writingAn ability to excel at multi-tasking, adapting to change and working on tight deadlines to meet our clients’ needsAn ability to manage time, prioritize and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising qualityThe entrepreneurial spirit, with an eagerness to learn and grow within the companyThe intellectual curiosity and quantitative mindset to leverage analytics to inform strategy and assist our clients in making decisionsThe initiative to actively participate in the Career Advancement Program and to pursue technical excellence through professional designations, industry workshops etc.An ability to develop underwriter relationships with key insurersThe desire to mentor and develop junior Associates, including Interns, Analysts and Senior AnalystsLockton is committed to advancing diversity and inclusion.
