Finance and Pricing LeadABOUT THE ROLEWest 4th Strategy is seeking a driven finance professional to join our senior team and own the pricing lifecycle across all Department of Defense (DoD) and civilian proposals. Working directly under the President & CEO, you’ll shape winning strategies that drive our growth while developing expertise across all aspects of finance in a high-growth government contracting environment.This isn’t just a pricing role, it’s your pathway to becoming a complete finance leader. You’ll start with proposal pricing and quickly expand into M&A evaluation, leveraged financing strategy, financial forecasting, and investment decisions. We’re looking for someone with 3-6 years of total professional experience who has the drive and capability to grow into a senior finance executive.Our track record speaks for itself: We’ve successfully mentored multiple junior professionals into senior roles. If you’d like to speak with those team members about their growth experience with us, we’re happy to connect you.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProposal Pricing & StrategyLead all pricing efforts for scope changes, recompetes, and new business across contract types (FFP, T&M, cost-plus)Develop competitive pricing strategies with business leads and capture teamsBuild sophisticated pricing models and conduct price-to-win analysisWrite compelling cost narratives and manage proposal documentationCalculate fees for GWACs and IDIQ vehicles (GSA MAS, OASIS+, etc.)Strategic Finance & Growth InitiativesPartner directly with the CEO on M&A evaluation and pursuit, including financial modeling, valuation, and due diligenceSupport leveraged financing strategies and capital structure optimizationLead financial forecasting, scenario planning, and variance analysisManage cash flow optimization and investment strategyAnalyze profitability across business lines and contract vehiclesFinancial Analysis & Business PartnershipCollaborate with operations teams to align pricing with business prioritiesAnalyze indirect rates and assess profitability impact across proposalsProvide scenario modeling to support strategic management decisionsContribute to broader finance initiatives including forecasting and investment evaluationWHAT YOU BRINGEssential Experience:3-6 years total professional experience in pricing, finance, or business operationsFederal pricing experience strongly preferred (1-2 years direct experience ideal)Advanced Excel expertise: complex formulas, financial modeling, pivot tables, what-if analysis, and advanced functionsCore Competencies:Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilitiesUnderstanding of federal cost accounting standards and contract typesBusiness acumen with solid grasp of P&L drivers and profitability metricsProven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressureExcellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experienceGrowth Mindset:Eagerness to expand beyond pricing into comprehensive finance leadershipComfort building structure from ambiguity in a fast-growing environmentDrive to master all financial aspects of operating a successful government contractorEDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONSRequired: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fieldPreferred: Advanced degree (MBA) or professional certifications (CPA, CFA, FP&A, or other recognized finance certifications)POSITION DETAILSLocation: 8200 Greensboro Drive, Suite 1500, McLean, VA 22102Schedule: In-office Tuesday-Thursday, remote Monday/FridayEmployment: Full-time W2 positionCompensation: $85,000-$105,000 base salary plus performance bonusClearance: Not requiredTravel: Minimal to noneWHY WEST 4TH STRATEGYDirect CEO mentorship and accelerated professional developmentReal ownership of critical business functions from day oneGrowth trajectory into senior finance leadership rolesDiverse experience across pricing, M&A, forecasting, and strategic financeProven track record of developing finance professionals into executivesWest 4th Strategy is an Equal Opportunity (EEO) employer.
