DescriptionThe Countrywide Auto Analytics team is seeking a talented individual contributor to help shape Personal Line(PL) Auto’s profitable growth strategy and lead analytical deep dives into thetop opportunities and concerns within our portfolio. By developingwell-reasoned strategies and recommendations, this individual will provide key contributionsto cross-functional working groups, influence senior leadership decisions, and drive in-market changes based on their findings. The ideal candidate will have strongbusiness acumen, advanced technical and analytical skills, and the ability toconvey complex insights to stakeholders effectively.**This role may have in-officerequirements depending on candidate location.****This is a ranged posting and level of role offered will be based on candidate skills, education and experience at manager discretion.**Responsibilities: Support the establishment and communication of transparent growth and profitability targetsfor new and in-force business, ensuring alignment with both calendar-year andaccident-year objectives.Drive in-depthanalytical studies to compare recent performance against business objectives,offering actionable recommendations for product and process improvements.Leverage strongtechnical skills to identify data attributes needed to complete work and the ability to compile them from US Retail Market (USRM) data sources, oftenwithout being able to rely on existing datasets. As needed, develop andvalidate innovative metrics to explain results in clear and actionable ways.Implement techniques toidentify business deterioration and/or adverse selection and providerecommendations to improve results when performance falls below expectations.Develop a deep androbust understanding of the Auto Product, Coverages, and Processes to provideexpertise and guidance to the organization as needs arise.Become a subject matterexpert, assisting junior analysts and peers across the organization withcomplex analytical tasks and fostering an environment of collaboration.Idealcandidate will possess:Experience conductingstrategic analysis utilizing multiple actuarial techniques Passion for strategicproblem solving and working in ambiguity on ad hoc projects andquestions.Prior experience workingin Personal Lines and/or Auto Lines.QualificationsBachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.Associateship or Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS/FCAS) or in Society of Actuaries (ASA/FSA) designation preferred or comparable education/designation with relevant experience.Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience required.Sound knowledge of actuarial techniques and standards, as well as other business operations including financial, underwriting, legal, statistics, claims, sales, etc.Advanced communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and interact effectively with others within and outside the organization.Ability to motivate and mentor peers and motivate and train subordinates.Advanced computing skills (MS Office Excel, SAS, etc.) with ability to build complex models.About UsPay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location.
