About the CompanyWe are a leading Commercial General Contractor specializing in tenant improvements, ground-up construction, and building retrofits. We deliver economical, reliable solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.Position Overview: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)We are seeking a strategic and experienced CFO to join our Executive Leadership Team. The CFO will oversee all financial operations and play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, margin expansion, and long-term growth.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in commercial construction, a track record of financial leadership in companies with $150M+ in annual revenue, and the capability to support scaling to $250M+.This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role focused on instilling financial discipline, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance across multi-state operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with the CEO and executive team to shape company strategy and execution.Lead all financial functions: accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, reporting, and risk mitigation.Drive cost discipline and collaborate with operations to enhance project-level profitability.Develop financial strategies to support growth beyond $200M in annual revenue.Identify opportunities for margin improvement, process optimization, and high-return investments.Provide financial oversight for multi-state construction projects, including tax and regulatory compliance.Ensure full tax compliance and proactively pursue tax optimization opportunities.Manage relationships with auditors, banks, insurers, bonding agents, and tax advisors.Build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to support executive decision-making.Support M&A evaluation and integration as needed.Qualifications10+ years of progressive finance leadership, including CFO or VP of Finance roles.Experience in commercial construction or a closely related industry is required.Proven success in companies with $150M+ in annual revenue and scaling to $200M+.Strong knowledge of construction financials, job costing, WIP schedules, revenue recognition, and multi-state operations.Deep understanding of U.S. tax codes and tax-efficient strategies.Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.Collaborative, hands-on approach with comfort working closely with founders and field teams.CPA or MBA preferred but not required.Benefits401(k) with company matchingMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insuranceCompany-provided cell phonePaid vacation and holidaysPerformance-based bonuses and long-term incentive opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr
