Under the guidance of the Director of Finance, your role is integral to safeguarding the hotel’s assets, supporting operational excellence, and delivering business results.Key Responsibilities Include:Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts receivable/payable, purchasing, receiving, audit, payroll, and cash handlingDevelop and implement financial controls and systems in compliance with local and corporate policiesPrepare financial analyses and variance explanations to support sound decision-makingAssist in budget preparation, forecasting, and reporting processesMonitor and reconcile accounts monthly, ensuring accuracy and timelinessEnsure prompt and accurate payments to IHG, vendors, and regulatory entitiesSupport management in cost control efforts, including review of operating equipment and inventoryPeople and CollaborationFoster a culture of collaboration and teamwork across all hotel departmentsServe as a liaison with external stakeholders, including vendors, auditors, tax consultants, banks, and legal advisorsAssist in managing and coaching accounting staff, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to policies and standardsSupport departmental leaders with financial insights and ensure accurate reporting tools are available for effective operational managementGuest Experience and Responsible BusinessProvide friendly, prompt, and professional service to internal and external guests and partnersAssist with forecasting and communicate timely financial updates to support operational needsEnsure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations (EEOC, Wage & Hour, union contracts, etc.)May serve as “Manager on Duty” as required and assist with payroll and procurement authorizations as neededWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience in hotel finance or accounting leadership (Assistant Director/Manager level preferred)Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices in a hospitality environmentStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with colleagues, vendors, and guestsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProficiency with financial software, spreadsheets, and property management systemsFlexible schedule to accommodate business needsWhat We OfferAt InterContinental Boston, our colleagues are the heartbeat of our success.
