OverviewA Brydon portfolio company in the public sector technology and analytics space is seeking an exceptional finance leader to join our leadership team and build the finance function from the ground up. As the CFO, you will shape the company’s financial strategy, implement best practices from day one, and lead the development of a high-performing team. You will be a key advisor, collaborator, and operator, working closely with leadership to align financial priorities with strategic growth initiatives. In particular, this is a great fit for a finance leader in a private equity portfolio company environment who is excited by a high growth company and an accelerated path to CFO.Role OverviewThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO and lead the company/u2019s Finance function. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role responsible for building financial and operational infrastructure to support aggressive revenue growth and long-term sustainability.ResponsibilitiesNear term:Move company to best practice on controllership and financial managementImprove and streamline the monthly close processImplement rigorous cash flow forecastingImplement improvements to internal spend and cash controlsIntegrate add-on acquisitions and help lead M&ALead and execute systems integrations (e.g., finance systems, HR, centralize cash management)Provide accurate pro-forma financial reportingIdentify, and capture synergies in integrationDevelop a repeatable, effective financial reporting processDevelop weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting mechanisms and provide an operating pack each monthWork with other functions to quantify and track KPIs that drive value creationDesign & implement a standardized process to be followed when updating the packageCodify and drive the annual budgeting processTake the organization through an efficient, rigorous budgeting processPartner with the CEO, CoS, ELT to refine the 2026 value creation planReview billing and revenue recognition processes, and partner with the technology team to implement improved billing systems/transaction processesEvaluate migrating existing finance systems to upgraded platforms to improve financial reporting, analysis quality, and scalabilityLonger term:Think holistically about the business, advise and execute on acquisitions and integrations, make pricing recommendations and craft business strategyBuild out a fit-for-purpose finance team that can execute transactions, drive business decision making through excellent reporting and analysisExecute on an ambitious growth path through effective capital allocationLead additional functions such as HR, IT, AdministrativeQualifications7-10+ years of finance leadership experience in a private equity backed company setting (B2G/government contracting experience is preferred)Strong accounting background and controllership fundamentalsExperience with M&A transactions and post-merger integrationsExperience implementing new ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage) in a PE-backed company/resource constrained environmentDeep expertise in FP&A, cash flow forecasting, and financial modelingExperience leading compliance, risk management, board and lender reportingTrack record of building scalable finance functions and working with PE-backed companiesStrong knowledge of automation and billing platformsHands-on experience with HR oversight and third-party HR managementLocationThe preference is for this role to be in-person in our Washington, D.C. office; we are open to considering experienced candidates located nearby in Maryland or Virginia (or other candidates in a hybrid travel set up).This is a full-time position where salary and equity will be based on experience; compensation with range from $200,000 to $250,000 per yearThe preference is for this role to be in Chicagoland or the Raleigh-Durham area but we are open to considering experienced candidates who would be interested in a hybrid travel set up (up to 50% travel)The company will offer employees a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and a 401k / retirement plan with matching contribution #J-18808-Ljbffr
