Camp Olmsted, located in Cornwall on Hudson, New York, has been a cherished summer destination for campers aged 6 to 14 from New York City communities for over 120 years. Our wide range of activities, including swimming, ropes challenge courses, arts and crafts, kiddie’s kitchen, dance, theater, and sports, provide a dynamic and enriching experience for our campers.We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Head Counselors for the upcoming summer program. This is an incredible opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while enjoying a rewarding and memorable summer experience.Position Details: Head Counselor / Activity LeaderDates: Orientation: June 6th-8th, Leadership Training: June 16th-20th, and Staff Training/Camp June 23th - August 8thHead Counselor:· Report to Senior Leadership with concise and direct communication.· Provide Leadership and Supervise Camp Counselors· Develop engaging and innovate camp ideas and activities· Supervise campers throughout the day and evening.· Escort campers to various activities· Lead activities as assigned.· Share meals and provide nighttime care for campers.Activity Leader:· Lead groups of campers in various specialized activities· Experience in leading recreational (sports), performing arts, STEM, and or baking.· Foster a positive and engaging environment for campers.· Create and or collaborate on activity curriculum.· Ensure safety and enjoyment during activity sessions.Qualifications:· Must be at minimum 18 years old.· Genuine interest in working with children.· Fun-spirited and patient.Please note that all candidates must be willing and able to live on the camp premises for the entire eight weeks of the program, including orientation period.· Housing provided (live at camp)· Meals provided.· Immersive summer camp experience· Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young pensation: $2800-$3400 (depending on experience)If you are passionate about working with children and ready to embark on a summer filled with growth, adventure, and lasting memories, Camp Olmsted welcomes your application.New ApplicationTo get started, tell us your name and email.
