This individual will work closely with the principal and a small, cross-functional group to manage and deploy capital across a broad range of asset classes, including public markets, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, real estate, and crypto-assets.The firm is especially active in early-stage technology investing, with areas of interest including AI/ML, gaming, consumer internet, and emerging platforms. The role offers meaningful responsibility from day one and the opportunity to lead new investment initiatives in a highly dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate investment opportunities across asset classes: early/growth-stage tech, public equities, funds, and alternativesBuild detailed financial models and perform due diligence and risk assessmentsMonitor portfolio performance and manage investment reportingConduct in-depth research on markets, sectors, and trends (especially in tech and AI)Help shape and iterate the firm’s long-term investment strategyBuild and maintain relationships with VCs, PE firms, founders, and other deal sourcesCoordinate with external advisors (legal, accounting, real estate, etc.)Identify operational efficiencies and support strategic projects as neededQualifications2–6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, equity research, or a similar analytical investment roleStrong modeling and analytical skillsInterest in early-stage technology and a desire to work in a nimble, high-exposure roleSelf-starter with strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindsetIn-person role in San Francisco (currently in Mission District; moving to Jackson Square in Fall 2025)Small team of 4 (including another investment analyst, controller, and chief of staff)Tools used include ChatGPT, Perplexity, and GrokAbout the FirmThe firm is the private investment office of a prominent technology founder and investor.
