Join our growing, energetic, team-based culture, where we’re focused on our values of service to ourselves, others, and our community.Job Responsibilities: (may include and are not limited to)Reporting directly to the Director of Fund Administration, you will lead critical financial reporting initiatives, with the opportunity to use your expertise to drive Paralel’s success.Understand, prepare, and review financial statements and shareholder reports for registered funds, including supporting documentation, in compliance with US GAAP.Work closely with the Fund Controller to ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial statements and shareholder reports as well as address changes to the reports.Assist the Fund Controller with audit questions related to the financial statements and shareholder reports.Understand and manage client expectations, in conjunction with the Fund Controller, as it relates to financial reporting.Responsible for the ongoing evaluation of financial reporting processes to implement enhancements, improve automation, develop, and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.Research and interpret accounting policies.Ability to work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work under intensive deadlines, work autonomously, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to work in a team environment and take ownership on individual projects with little to no supervision.Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.5+ years of experience working in a public accounting setting auditing financial statements for registered investment companies or 5+ years of experience working in a similar role in a fund administration setting overseeing preparation of financial statements for investment prehensive and current understanding of US GAAP for investment companies, including recently issued accounting pronouncements, and SEC reporting principles and regulations.Experience with oversight of the preparation and delivery of accurate financial statements and shareholder reports.Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) Confluence software.Experience working through ambiguity to communicate clear accounting positions.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent attention to detail and strong multi-tasking skills.Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products, comfortable working with new pensation Range:$110,000 - $160,000 depending on experience and other factors.
