Bennett Thrasher is expanding and seeks an experienced Manager, Financial Reporting Valuation Services with opportunity for growth to leadership for the right individual. We are seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting Valuation Services to work in our fast-growing Valuation practice.Our Valuation practice is a dynamic, seasoned, and energetic team that has experienced double digit growth over the past few years. This role has an entrepreneurial focus in the Valuation sector and our clients depend on our Valuation professionals to provide insightful, timely and thorough valuations. We are seeking a Manager that has significant experience in financial reporting engagements.Responsibilities:Manages and delivers valuations of businesses and intangible assets in connection with engagements for financial reporting: ASC 805 – Business Combinations, ASC 350 – Intangibles – Goodwill and Other; ASC 718 – Expense Accounting for Stock OptionsWork directly with private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies to execute engagementsRecognizes potential valuation issues early in the engagement and communicates them to the engagement partner and teamDevelops approach to valuation with engagement partner following initial interviews; relays information to team in a digestible mannerDemonstrates expert knowledge and understanding of analytical tools and technical issuesStays current on relevant technical issuesHelps engagement partner to manage the more complicated segments of the valuation when neededEnsures quality controls are adhered to in association with all work productsLeads team in preparing necessary exhibits and report sections to summarize work and key findings on engagementsWork with the client’s auditors to ensure timely completion of engagementsQualifications include:Designation required (ASA, ABV, CFE, CPA, CFA)4+ years of work experience is requiredExperience working with private equity sponsors and their portfolio companiesAdvanced knowledge of accounting principles, key tax concepts and valuation models is requiredMaintains the highest technical and professional standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong time management, organizational and prioritization skillsAbility to effectively manage multiple engagements simultaneouslyWorking at Bennett Thrasher means being part of a firm that has been a cornerstone of strategic business guidance for over four decades while remaining fiercely independent from Private Equity.
