Chobani’s Materials Analyst is a critical team member that drives productivity by ensuring proper materials inventory levels to support efficient production schedules. The role provides leadership the visibility of the materials management process to ensure smooth supply chain operations.ResponsibilitiesRun inventory planning and ordering to ensure material availability, premium freight, surplus and obsolete, and inventory turn goals are metReview delivery performance, demand history, and other data to recommend SAP material planning and forecast setting changes to meet department goalsWork with suppliers, production, customer service, engineering, quality, and corporate purchasing to communicate and resolve material availability issuesAnalyze and coordinate material movement from purchasing to production, ensuring proper inventory levels at all timesReport scrap data analysis to leadershipDefine and follow up on materials management indicators and targets for the teamParticipate in the identification and implementation of material planning strategiesAnalyze operating results and report weakness and variances from standard operating proceduresProvide updates on required resources to ensure cost, inventory, service and production levels are consistent with operational objectivesDevelop and recommend standard processes for the material flow systems and proceduresCollaborate with all involved departments to monitor and alert critical inventory levelsDevelop and implement processes to reduce material overages/shortagesDecide proper inventory levels and successfully maintain supplies for production planMaintain strong vendor relationships to ensure all company expectations are metCoordinate the movement of materials between sites, storage and vendorsCommunicate the most efficient and effective use of transportation of materialsRequirementsHigh School Diploma required; associate’s degree preferred3-5 years of related work experience in packaging materials and goodsExperience required in use of SAP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP)Inventory management skillsExcellent organizational skillsProficiency with MS Office with strong MS Excel skillsQuality and results-focused work ethicAble to work independently and in a teamAbout UsChobani is a food maker with a mission of making high-quality and nutritious food accessible to more people, while elevating our communities and making the world a healthier place.
