It’s an opportunity to grow your skills and experience as a valued member of the team.How you will create an impact:Underwriting and managing an existing book of Inland Marine risks and developing and underwriting a pipeline of new business opportunities across the countryCollaborating with peers in other regions and providing technical underwriting support on existing accounts in those regions, ensuring a consistent approach to market throughout the country.Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clientsCommunicating our value proposition with our brokers and clients and demonstrating our right to winIdentifying future industry trends, understand how they will impact ours our client’s business and developing new strategies around those trendsCommunicating to internal stakeholders on the profitable of the portfolioProviding superior customer service to brokers and clients.Attend client/broker meetings, presentations and relevant industry events on behalf of the company.Participating in special underwriting projects as needed.What you will need to succeed:Experience in the Inland Marine insurance marketBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or universityAdvanced working knowledge of the Inland Marine of business including product features, forms, regulatory environments and risks etc.Ability to rapidly evaluate, prioritize and select submissions to be underwritten.Ability to analyze policy wordingsDemonstrated knowledge of current market conditions, trends and the ability to leverage that knowledge to give us right to winRelationships with tier 1 and 2 brokers and the ability to develop new relationshipsDemonstrated sales, marketing, and relationship building experience.Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment making quick decisions while adhering to sound underwriting disciplineWillingness to travel 25% of the timeReady to take your career to the next level?
