Bilingual Community Reinvestment Mortgage Banker (Spanish)Wage Range: Min: $58,114, Mid: $71,429, Max: $84,743A Brief OverviewThe Community Reinvestment Mortgage Banker is responsible for helping and serving the credit needs of low to moderate income individuals and families. Negotiates and delivers a full range of fully- compliant mortgage solutions that meet the expressed needs of clients. Ensures an A+ customer experience by providing quality customer service throughout the entire loan process. Markets and cross sells all Bank products and is responsible for attaining established loan production goals. Requires independent thinking as well as teamwork, the ability to relate to a wide audience, and the ability to understand and interpret financial data.What you will doDevelop a business plan to meet program goals.Understand and follow Mortgage Lending and Community Reinvestment Regulations and Standards. Serve as a subject matter expert specific to CRA lending, including assisting other mortgage lenders in this regard.Establish and maintain relationships with community-based organizations to understand the needs of the communities served.Develop/find innovative or flexible lending practices in order to serve the credit needs of low-moderate income individuals and families.Counsel clients on possible solutions to loan or credit issues.Process loan data through an automated underwriting system and monitor the entire loan process through closing for each customer.Foster relationships with other lines of business to generate cross-sales activityTravel across multiple market areas.Provide financial education, in collaboration with the CRA and Fair Banking Department, to clients, customers, and community organizations as needed.Other Qualifications/RequirementsMortgage specific software a plus.Fluent in all State and Federal Mortgage Assistance Programs.Have a willingness to generate business through the development of relationships, which result in referrals from internal colleagues, individual consumers, community-based organizations, real estate brokers, and builders/developers across multiple market areas.Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 1 year banking; Mortgage Lending experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)Who We AreHeartland Bank and Trust Company is headquartered in Bloomington, Illinois.
