The Head of Finance will be responsible for managing Cytrellis finances and financial health. The key responsibilities will include financial reporting, financial policies and processes, and internal controls. The Head of Finance will be responsible for managing all accounting, including general ledger, AR/AP, inventory, payroll, cost accounting, stock-based compensation, fixed assets, and vendor relations. In addition, this role involves overseeing risk management, with a growing emphasis on strategic leadership and business transformation. This role will report into the Chief Business Officer and be an active member of the leadership team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for all aspects of accounting, including month-end/quarter-end/year-end close, general ledger, chart of accounts, AR/AP, inventory, fixed assets and cost accounting, payroll, internal and external financial reporting (GAAP), financial controls, tax compliance and reporting, audit, stock-based compensationReview of GL trial balances, reviewing necessary reports at month-endEnsure financial reporting, policies and procedures are maintained in accordance with US GAAP and other applicable regulatory bodies. Prepare statutory and compliance-related filings.Help establish and implement SOX processes and controls throughout the company as well as ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulationsBuild/improve infrastructure to support company’s growth, including implementation of all required financial systems.Review costs versus plans and trends to understand key business drivers and help develop plans for improvement.Maintenance of stock capitalization table and stock recordsAssist leadership with managing all corporate agreements/contracts and keep contracts currentManage exert accountants, annual audit and tax return preparation.Responsible for M&A due diligence (financial), company integration and “Purchaser Accounting treatment,” as needed.Build relationships cross-functionally to foster collaboration both inside and outside of Finance & Accounting teamAbility to analyze and document current workflows to align them with ERP capabilities.Deep understanding of accounting principles and how they translate into ERP modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, etc.).Ensuring accurate data migration and validation during ERP setup.Experience with ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Infor, or Microsoft Dynamics.Skills in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for ERP projects.Ability to lead organizational change and ensure adoption across departments.Understanding how ERP integrates with other systems (CRM, HRIS, etc.).Performs other duties as requiredEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor of Science Degree in AccountingCPA/MBA and/or public company experience10-15 years of experience in accounting/finance positionsStrong expertise in US GAAP including revenue recognition, inventory, leases, stock compensation and consolidationsPrior experience with a general ledger system required.Public accounting experience and exposure to publicly held company in private industry preferredProven experience in a management roleProficiency with MS Windows and MS Office Software, especially ExcelExcellent computer skills, including experience with multiple accounting software packages including QuickBooks, Infor, or comparable ERP systems and Microsoft Office programsDemonstrated competence to handle a wide range of finance related responsibilities.Strong people leader with the ability to produce quality results in an efficient mannerProven ability to achieve tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projectsOperationally oriented and a strategic thinkerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional business acumen with a high degree of integrity and ethicsAbility to lead and interact in cross-functional teams to achieve desired organizational objectivesMust have excellent analytical skills, with very strong attention to detail.Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
